11 Amazing Uses For OxiClean You’ll Want To Know About | One Good Thing by Jillee

uses for oxiclean

When I stop and consider all the ways I’ve used OxiClean in my home since it debuted in 1997, the more I wonder how I ever lived without it! Today, the OxiClean brand encompasses a whole range of household cleaning products, from dishwasher boosters to carpet cleaners.

But in my opinion, their best product is still the original OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover. This one product can be used as a laundry additive, stain remover, and household cleaner, and as an added bonus, features ingredients like sodium carbonate (or washing soda) and hydrogen peroxide that break down safely with no toxic byproducts.

I have written quite a few blog posts over the years detailing how I used OxiClean to solve a particular household problem. But I had yet to collect all of my OxiClean solutions in one convenient place—until today, that is!

In today’s blog post, I’ll be sharing 11 of my favorite household uses for OxiClean for cleaning, laundry, and more. But before we get to those, I thought it would be helpful to start by mentioning the different formats I’ve found useful when using OxiClean around the house.

4 Formats For Using OxiClean Around The House

As a so-called “Versatile Stain Remover,” it should come as no surprise that you can use OxiClean in a few different formats. I mention four specific OxiClean formats throughout this post, indicated in italicized text below each numbered use.

Here’s a brief overview of all four of the different formats you’ll see mentioned throughout this post, to help you know what format to use where.

Add OxiClean in its powdered form to laundry, or where called for as an ingredient in homemade cleaners.

Add one tablespoon of OxiClean to one tablespoon of water and mix well.
